Kristi is the Fitness Center Director at The MAC, East Hills & Orchard Hills and has been with the company since 1993. As a Wellness Coach and Personal Trainer, her certifications include: First Line Therapy® Lifestyle Educator, T. Colin Campbell Plant-Based Nutrition Specialist, ACSM Health Fitness Specialist, ACE Clinical Exercise Specialist, ACE Lifestyle & Weight Management Consultant, as well as specialty certificates in Exercise for Pregnancy, Diabetes and Cancer. In addition to training clients, Kristi manages the Personal Training Team at The Clubs as well as Cascade Hills Country Club, and works with the medical community to develop and implement programs for patients with diabetes, cancer, and heart disease. Kristi is focused on educating individuals and families on the benefits of living a healthy life and has presented at various private and public institutions over the course of her career.

Chris has been with East Hills since January 1995, and in January 2004 became the Fitness Center Operations Assistant. She holds certifications with AFAA as a Certified Personal Trainer and the IDEA as a Resistance Trainer. Chris specializes in prenatal fitness and Resistance Training and is committed to helping others obtain a healthy lifestyle so they can enjoy life to the fullest.

Kim has been with the company since 1991. She has a Bachelor of Science in both Health Fitness and Psychology in addition to numerous advanced certifications.
Kim understands that the body is a complex matrix that sustains multi-layered stresses both physical and emotional that can manifest as dis-ease, muscular-skeletal pain and dysfunction, tightness, irritability and lack of energy to name a few.
Kim has over 20 years hands-on experience integrating various methods to help individuals function at their very best by:

Mitch has been with East Hills since June of 1999. He has held certifications with ACE & NASM as a Certified Personal Trainer and with NSCA as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist. He is certified in Level 1 Fullbody Fascial Stretch Therapy. He also holds the Poliquin PICP Level 1 & 2 Certification and is a candidate for Level 3.

Nick Klein has leading results based in personal training. He is known for his no-nonsense approach in helping his clients to achieve impressive health and fitness goals including fat loss, muscle gain and overall wellness. Certified level 2 PICP State Coach (Poliquin International Certification Program). He specializes in body composition and achieving a higher quality of life using weight training, boxing, strongman training, biosignature evaluation and fascial stretch therapy. He has effectively undergone internships with Charles Poliquin (founder of the PICP and world renowned Strength Coach) and Eric Falstraughlt (PICP Level 5 strength and conditioning expert, BODHI FIT Montreal Canada).
“Strength training and performance nutrition has evolved and continues to evolve year after year. Training with me gives you the advantage of achieving your goals at a quicker rate with the help of functional medicine and bio-signature protocols. I use specific, individualized nutritional, and exercise programs that give you the extra edge to achieve your goals. I use many techniques (Fascial Stretch Therapy, Boxing for Fitness, Nutritional Evaluation, Structural Balance) to help identify major concerns and work to correct them as fast as possible. While people see and feel the obvious results physically, they will also improve spiritually and mentally. I possess a B.A.degree in Health Fitness in Preventative and Rehabilitative Programs from Central Michigan University. I strive to improve myself every day and complete four or more internships/seminars each year in an effort to stay up-to-date with all the latest research concerning fitness, nutrition, and supplementation.”

Carrie joined the Personal Training Team at The MAC in 1998 and has enjoyed training a variety of clients. She is certified through NASM as a Certified Personal Trainer and a Senior Fitness Specialist. Her specialty certifications include: On Target Living nutrition counseling, Resist-a-Ball Core conditioning Specialist, and Optimum Performance Training for the prenatal, senior, and youth clients. Carrie’s clients include those suffering from joint pain or arthritis, post-rehab after an injury or surgery, and those looking to lose weight and build strength. Carrie believes in creating workouts that are challenging enough to get results but fun enough for her clients to make fitness a permanent part of their life. Carrie is committed to helping her clients stay motivated, set realistic goals, and improve their overall fitness. Client references are available upon request.

Gina has been with The MAC since November of 2000. She is certified with NASM as a Personal Trainer and holds specialty certifications from AFPA in Nutritional Consultation and Pregnancy and Exercise. She has worked as an Exercise Specialist in outpatient physical therapy and with a variety of weight management programs. In June 2009, Gina completed her training as a Wellness Coach and is ready to work with you and your wellness needs.

Terri began working at East Hills and The MAC in July 2007. She is certified through NSCA as a Personal Trainer and Wellcoaches as a Wellness Coach. She recently earned her Bachelor’s of Science degree in Psychology and is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Counseling. She works with a diverse client base, including individuals in post-rehab. She enjoys helping people improve their holistic health and quality of life which allows them healthier, active and fulfilled lives.

Joe has been with The MAC and East Hills since 2006. He holds a Bachelors of Arts from Hope College in Exercise Science and is a Licensed Physical Therapy Assistant from Baker College. He is also a Certified Personal Trainer with NASM. Joe played football at Hope College and is still very active in many activities ranging from yoga to competitive snowboarding. Working the fitness industry has brought a variety of clients to Joe ranging from people looking to gain an edge physically, to athletes participating in sports like football, baseball, soccer, volleyball, softball, wrestling, and track. Joe has a well-rounded background in physical therapy that consist of working in orthopedics, acute care, and private care. He most recently started specializing in bio-mechanical physical therapy and working with the symmetry of the body's mechanics.

Angie has been with the company since January 1994. She has a BA degree from GVSU. Her certifications include NASM-CPT and, Wellcoaches® Health and Wellness Coach. Angie began at the clubs as a Group Fitness Instructor and Personal Trainer holding certifications through AFAA Primary, Personal Trainer/Fitness Counselor, Les Mills BODYPUMP™, Les Mills BODYSTEP™, YogaFit® and Mad Dogg Spinning®. Angie is an excellent motivator and her excitement for fitness is contagious. If it's education, hard work and motivation you are looking for...come be inspired!

Kris has been with East Hills since May of 2005, and with the MAC since 2006. She holds certifications with National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer and ACSM as a Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer. Kris teaches Cancer Well-fit™ and Diabetes Wellness exercise classes in collaboration with Saint Mary’s Health Care. Kris enjoys helping clients of all levels and abilities achieve their goals.

Bill has been with East Hills and The MAC since November 2004. He is certified with NASM as a Personal Trainer and as a Corrective Exercise Specialist, ACSM as a Certified Cancer Exercise Trainer and MAD DOG Spinning as a Cycling Instructor. Bill has taught our Cancer Well-fit™ exercise classes since 2005 and specializes in rehabilitating cancer survivors. Bill also works in Group Fitness, teaching cycling classes and group strength training.

Brent joined The MAC and East Hills personal training team in October 2012, but began his professional career in Florida where he developed the strength training program for Saviano’s High Performance Tennis Institute. In addition to working with world-class tennis athletes, Brent has experience with a multitude of clients including special populations,
cardiac rehabilitation, expectant mothers and those recovering from orthopedic injuries. He holds certifications with ACSM as a Personal Trainer, and NASM as a Corrective Exercise Specialist, TRX Group Suspension Training Level 1 Course, and is currently pursuing a NSCA- CSCS certification. Whether your goal is to lose weight, improve sports performance, increase strength and flexibility, or to improve your over all health and wellness, Brent is up for the challenge.

Tim joined the training staff in April 2012. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Health and Fitness Instruction from GVSU. He is certified through NASM as a Performance Enhancement Specialist and as a Corrective Exercise Specialist. In June ’12 he completed the Level 1 TRX Group Suspension Training Course. Tim is actively pursuing certifications as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist and as a US Olympic Lifting Coach. He has competed in sports ranging from baseball to wakeboarding and everything in between and has worked with athletes competing in football, basketball, track and field, and mountain biking. Whether you’re a weekend warrior preparing for an event, a top level athlete looking for a competitive edge, or somebody just wanting to look and feel healthier, Tim would love to work with you to achieve all of your fitness goals.

Kellie joined East Hills and The MAC in 2011, she obtained her Bachelor of Science degree at Aquinas College and is certified through National Academy of Sports Medicine as a Certified Personal Trainer. Kellie has competed in soccer and basketball at the collegiate level. She also enjoys staying active all year by hiking, kayaking and downhill skiing. Not only is she passionate about helping others achieve their fitness goals, she is an experienced soccer coach and holds her Level E coaching license through Michigan State Youth Soccer Association. “I am excited to inspire, encourage and guide others on a journey to a healthier lifestyle.”

Sara began her career at The MAC and East Hills in August 2009. She is certified with NSCA as a Certified Personal Trainer. She also holds certifications through the Poliquin Institute in Biosignatue Modulation, AFPA as a Pre/Post Natal Specialist and AFAA as a Group Strength and Resistance Training Specialist. In addition, Sara has specialty certificates in Muscle Activation Technique: Lower extremities, Fundamentals for Nutrition and holds two cycling certifications; Mad Dogg and Kaiser M3. Sara focuses on building functional strength, fat loss and improving overall health and well-being.

Jesse joined the team at the MAC and East Hills in August 2012 after achieving his Bachelor of Science degree in Exercise Science with an emphasis in Health and Fitness Instruction from GVSU. Jesse holds a certification with the NSCA as a Personal Trainer and has been a competitive athlete since high school; including swimming, football and baseball in high school and volleyball for 3 years at GVSU. He has experience in beach volleyball at the professional level and loves to train for competition. Jesse is passionate about helping others achieve their fitness goals whether it is weight loss, improving strength, flexibility or overall health and wellness.

Cory joined The MAC and East Hills in August 2012. He has a Bachelors of Science degree in Exercise Science and a minor in Holistic Health from Western Michigan University. He is certified as a personal trainer through the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Cory has played sports from a very young age and comes from a military family. He definitely knows the meaning of discipline, hard work, and motivation. Health and wellness and helping others achieve their goals have always interested Cory. He will challenge your body and your mind through exercise. Cory will teach you that you DO have what it takes to accomplish your goals, whatever they may be

Jennifer joined The Mac and East Hills in December 2012. She has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Exercise Science from Grand Valley State University and is a Certified Personal Trainer through the American College of Sports Medicine. She also has many years of experience coaching swimming and also competing at a high level. In August 2013, Jennifer will return to Grand Valley State University in pursuit of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy. Jennifer is determined to help you reach your personal goals whether it is to increase cardiorespiratory endurance, muscular strength, balance and flexibility, lose weight, or to improve your overall health and well-being. She strives to promote a healthy lifestyle and is excited to work with you!

Serena received her Bachelor of Science Degree in Clinical Exercise Science from GVSU after completing her internship with The MAC and East Hills in May 2013. She is currently pursuing her personal training certification with National Academy of Sports Medicine. As a former GVSU Track and Field athlete, Serena was an integral part of the 2011 Division II National Championship Team and knows very well what kind of commitment it takes to reach any goal. Serena is looking forward to supporting you in your health and wellness journey through building self-confidence, providing encouragement, and teaching you the skills necessary to look and feel your best.
